May gaming revenue down in Carson City, Tahoe and statewide
Carson City area casinos, which include establishments in Gardnerville, Minden and all other areas of Douglas County except Stateline, report a gaming “win” of $8,683,695 for the month.
Elsewhere, casinos at Stateline on the south shore of Lake Tahoe report a 15 percent decrease over the same reporting period as May 2015, and casinos at North Lake Tahoe, a 7.42 percent decrease.
Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $958,055,897 for the month of May 2016, a 4.53 percent decrease compared to May 2015. For the fiscal year, July 1, 2015 through May 31, 2016, gaming win has increased 0.16 percent.
Washoe County and Reno both report gaming revenue decreases for the month.
