Warm weekend ahead: Temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s for Carson City region
The warmest temperatures for the year thus far will begin arriving Thursday and peak Saturday, with widespread highs in the 80s and possibly low 90s expected around Carson City, Dayton and Western Nevada, according to the National Weather Service.

The warm weather will be followed by a cold front, expected to arrive late Sunday that will cool things down some for next week, with also the possibility of showers.
Carson City and Carson Valley are expected to warm up to the mid 80s on Friday, 89 by Saturday, and 85 for Sunday with a cool down Monday to 75 and breezy conditions, according to the weather service. Dayton will be a bit warmer Friday with a high of 88, warming to 91 Saturday and 87 Sunday.
