Carson City authorities investigate robberies; Reno police look for clues in murder investigation
Carson City authorities continue to investigate two robberies and a shooting that happened late Saturday night while Reno police are looking for suspects involved in a robbery and murder that happened early this morning in Reno.
Reno police and Carson City sheriff's detectives want to determine whether the robberies and the shooting in Carson City are in any way related to the Reno case.
In the Reno murder case, four men reportedly grabbed a purse from a woman on California Avenue at around 1 a.m. A fight ensued, there was a struggle and a man was shot dead, Reno police tell KOLO Channel 8 in Reno. And at about 11:48 p.m. there was a report of a gunshot fired in the vicinity of Camp N Town, in the 2400 block of North Carson Street. In this case, there was a report of one gunshot fired and a male chasing another person. A man reported that a gun shot was fired at him, authorities said.
