Lyon County detectives release photos, suspect foul play in missing Dayton woman case
Lyon County Sheriff's Office detectives searching for the whereabouts of a missing Dayton area woman now believe there was foul play involved in her disappearance.
A search warrant was executed and several items of evidence has been seized this week from the residence of Toni Davis, 60, who has been missing since April 28. A forensics analysis is currently underway.
The search for Davis ramped up earlier this week, and included areas around Dayton and Six Mile Canyon. Investigators are asking for the public's help and have released photos of a truck that may provide clues in the investigation.
Detectives want to know if anyone saw the truck in the photos above on Thursday, April 28, 2016 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. It may have been seen in the Mark Twain area of Dayton, the Six Mile Canyon area, Virginia City, Mound House or Reno areas. It also may have been seen going off road in or around the Virginia City area, detectives said.
Davis is from the Mark Twain area. She is caucasian, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 150 to 170 pounds; has hazel eyes, brown/gray hair. She has a tattoo of Betty Boop above her right posterior.
Sheriff's Investigators are asking anyone with any information regarding this case or the vehicle to please contact the Lyon County Sheriff's Office at 775-577-5206 (Agency Case Number: 16LY01489) or contact Secret Witness at www.secretwitness.com or at 775-322-4900.
"We have no reason to believe there is any threat to the community," said Lyon County Sheriff Al McNeil.
Meanwhile, Lyon County Search and Rescue will continue its search Friday morning, activating from the Dayton sheriff's office substation.
