Carson Tahoe Health recognized by national organization with top awards for healthcare excellence
CARSON CITY — PRC, a leader in the healthcare intelligence space, has awarded Carson Tahoe Health as a 2022 PRC Excellence in Healthcare Award recipient in four categories. Carson Tahoe received 5-Star recognition, top honors from PRC, for facility services in Emergency Department Services, Inpatient ICU Services and Outpatient Surgery Services.
In addition, Kathy Goldsworthy, DNP, APRN was also recognized with an overall rating of provider care for Advanced Practice Provider Services. The organization annually recognizes the top 10 percent of healthcare providers in various categories.
“Those of us in healthcare don’t do it for the awards,” says Alan Garrett, President and Chief Executive Officer, Carson Tahoe Health. “But, it is certainly uplifting to know that our efforts are proving worthwhile. I’m especially pleased that these three clinical areas are being recognized. All three services have been extraordinarily challenged during the pandemic and our staff, physicians, and leaders have worked hard to provide great care. We are all proud of Kathy, literally one of the best in the county.
“I’m honored to be recognized by PRC,” says Goldsworthy of the recent news. “I am grateful to work with such amazing patients and hard-working, diligent staff who support me and all we do at Carson Tahoe.”
The Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize organizations and individuals who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences, healthcare employee engagement, and/or physician alignment and engagement based on surveys from discharged patients and visits. As a not-for-profit hospital, Carson Tahoe’s mission is to provide excellent care to its northern Nevada patients. The recognition from PRC adds to the awards and accreditations Carson Tahoe has received for its patient care and procedures, including a recent accreditation as a top Chest Pain Center in the country.
