Video shows suspect pacing before Naomi Irion disappears, Lyon investigators expand search
Lyon County Sheriff's Office detectives and other law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the March 12 disappearance of 18-year-old Naomi Irion in Fernley.
Lyon County Sheriff's Office detectives have released a 3 minutes, 26-second video showing the vehicles and the suspect minutes before Irion was abducted. Go here to see the video.
LCSO is also releasing a photo given to investigators by the family. It is an Instagram photo posted Jan. 31.
On Saturday, hundreds gathered for a public search in Fernley.
The search has increased in size and scope to include law enforcement agencies from the local state and federal levels. Large scale searches for Naomi have been conducted over the past week by law enforcement agencies and hundreds of local citizens, said Lyon County Sheriff's Office Detective Sgt. Marty Dues in a news release.
Naomi Irion was last seen in the area of Walmart in Fernley on March 12 at approximately 5 a.m. During the course of the investigation, evidence was discovered leading investigators to believe Naomi's disappearance is suspicious in nature, the release states.
The Lyon County Major Crimes division is asking for help by those persons who would have been present in the Walmart parking lot at the time of Naomi's disappearance.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office provided the video clip showing parked and moving vehicles in the Walmart parking lot within visual distance of Naomi's vehicle and minutes before she is abducted, the release states.
The suspect is seen on this surveillance video pacing on the east side of the building. At times the suspect is seen walking directly in front of vehicle and their headlights, the release states.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who was in the parking lot between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. March 12 and have not been directly contacted by law enforcement, to contact LCSO's Major Crime Bureau.
