Shots fired early Saturday morning in Downtown Carson City send patrons running for cover; suspect in custody
An early morning report of shots fired sent Downtown Carson City patrons scattering for cover.
According to Blue Bull Bartender and Manager Kristina Nelson, around 2:30 a.m. people began running into the bar, saying there was a man with a gun around the corner on Carson Street between Proctor and Telegraph streets.
"I didn't even know the gun had been fired until the police arrived later," said Nelson. "All I knew was he was walking around the corner with a gun in his hand."
Patrons entered the bar urging everyone to take cover, and Nelson immediately called the police.
According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, one person was taken into custody after deputies pursued the subject towards William and Division.
"There were no injuries and no property damage," said Furlong.
Furlong stated additional information will be provided at a later time following an investigation.
