Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Deputies make burglary bust Friday
A 26 year-old Reno woman was arrested Friday morning at 8:38 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Division Street in Carson City for felony suspicion of burglary and assault with a deadly weapon offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, Sabraa Bewley was taken into custody after law enforcement responded to a domestic battery report.
Sheriff's deputies met with the reporting party/victim in the area of East William and North Carson streets. The victim said Bewley, her roommate's ex-girlfriend, entered her residence on North Division Street without permission through a locked rear door. The lock, she reported, came loose easily due to a broken latch.
The victim reported that Bewley began making incoherent demonic statements to her after entering the residence, the report said. She then produced a pocket knife and pointed the blade at the victim while demanding to use her phone to call the roommate/ex-boyfriend.
"I'm going to kill someone if I don't get to talk to [ex-boyfriend]," the victim recalled Bewley saying.
When Bewley went upstairs to her ex-boyfriend's bedroom, the report said, the victim left her residence and called authorities.
The victim reported that Bewley is actively using cocaine an ketamine, resulting in her bizarre behavior.
Deputies made their way to the North Division Street residence to make contact with Bewley. The front door to the residence was found fully open by deputies, who called into the residence for her but got no response, the report said.
When the victim arrived, she called into the residence and got a response from Bewley.
At that point, deputies entered the residence and found Bewley asleep in a bedroom. As a deputy asked the suspect questions, she began yelling incoherently, the report said.
Bewley would not answer the deputy's questions and denied pointing a knife at the victim, the report said, while also talking about government corruption and other things the devil was telling her, the arrest report said. She denied being under the influence of substances.
The victim produced the knife that was pointed at her and handed it to deputies, who then placed Bewley in handcuffs and transported her to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $25,000.
— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Saturday morning at 12:07 a.m. in the 1500 block of Airport Road for misdemeanor drunken pedestrian and criminal contempt offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the report, law enforcement was dispatched to the area on a report of assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, the observed the suspect cross Woodside Street at Airport road and attempt to walk up to a residence.
Deputies stopped and questioned the suspect, who smelled heavily of alcohol, the report said. He voluntarily agreed to a preliminary breath test, which showed breath alcohol content of .197 percent.
A records check was performed on the suspect, who was found to be active with the Department of Alternative Sentencing (DAS), which advised dispatch it wanted the suspect arrested for criminal contempt.
He was then placed in handcuffs and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $500.
— A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. in the 5700 block of U.S. Highway 50 East on an active warrant issued out of the Carson City Justice Court for misdemeanor domestic battery, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the report, law enforcement was serving a warrant at the Highway 50 location and made contact with the suspect, whose status was confirmed by dispatch.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $3,000.
