Powerball ticket sold in South Lake Tahoe worth nearly $709,000
Someone purchased a Powerball ticket in South Lake Tahoe with five correct numbers, winning a jackpot of $708,769, California lottery officials announced Thursday. The drawing was on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. There wasn’t a full-blown jackpot winner in California for this draw.
One ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven store at 3923 Pioneer Trail with five correct numbers. They are: 11, 24, 31, 40, 44 and Power Number 27.
The winner hadn't contacted the store as of 11:45 a.m. Thursday, according to manager Rhonda St. Onge. Her store will receive money from the Lottery as well, but St. Onge didn't know how much yet. It is unknown when the ticket was purchased. The winner has 180 days to claim the winnings.
The next jackpot, for $137 million, will be drawn on Saturday, March 14, 2015.
