Armed robbery reported at Slotworld's Cabaret on East Winnie Lane
UPDATE: An armed robbery was reported shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday at Slotworld's Cabaret, 324 East Winnie Lane in Carson City. The robbery involved two adult male suspects, one with a skeleton mask and the other described as wearing a green jacket, according to Carson City dispatch.
Witnesses said the suspects may have been black but they only heard their voices and couldn't determine their ethnic origin, investigators said late Friday.
At least one of the victims had money, a cell phone and a wallet stolen. The men reportedly walked into the casino and told the customers to get on the ground or else they were going to die and then proceeded to rob the place, said Carson City Sheriff's Sgt. Scott McDaniel. A handgun, described as possibly a Ruger, was used in the robbery. Only one gun was seen. No injuries were reported.
It is believed the suspects left in a gray Chevy Envoy. It was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
