Monday, March 2: Things to do in Carson City
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut! It’s never too cold, too wet or too hot
To pick up a book, and share what you’ve got
You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild
To pick up a book, and read to a child...
― Anita Merina, 1997
To honor the birthday of the late, great Theodor Geisel, better known by children everywhere as Dr. Suess, it’s National Read Across America Day. Take a moment to curl up with a good book, or better yet, introduce a child to your favorite Dr. Seuss story. I've attached a video of John Lithgow reading 'Oh the Places You'll Go' to get the ball rolling.
Another great opportunity to connect with your child is the upcoming Father-Daughter Cinderella Ball at Carson High School. Ticket sales begin today. For more information go here.
