Carson City emergency crews called to motorcycle crash on North Carson Street
UPDATE: The driver of the red Dodge minivan who rear-ended a motorcycle rider was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while impaired, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Scott McDaniel. The Harley rider was not injured.
As of 4:13 p.m. one lane of traffic was open, with motorists being diverted through the southbound median.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded at 3:48 p.m. Thursday to a motorcycle crash in the 1800 block of North Carson Street near the Evergreen Center.
The crash happened in the southbound lane and involved a rear-end collision with a red Dodge Caravan, according to dispatch. The motorcycle rider was said to be up and walking around.
The crash happened in the southbound lane. Motorists should be advised of traffic delays. Deputies are redirecting traffic into the southbound turn lane.
Shortly before the crash the fire department was called to a cardiac arrest that happened in the area of Musser and Valley streets. A coroner was called to the scene.
