Carson City sheriff’s arrest log: Officers make felony arrests for drugs, burglary
A 44-year-old Carson City man, Michael Lee Douglas, was arrested Thursday, 4 a.m. in the area of Carson and Robinson streets on a felony burglary warrant issued Jan. 23, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court, a sheriff’s deputy said.
Douglas also had two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest, contempt of court, and violation of a suspended sentence, issued Jan. 27, 2015, also out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $21,500.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man, Kelly Manning, was arrested Thursday, 8:45 p.m. in Dayton on felony warrants issued out of Carson City District Court, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, officers assigned to the Tri-County Gang Unit observed Manning, known to have a felony warrant on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, and a female walking in the 8500 block of Highway 50 East in Dayton. Dispatch confirmed the warrants.
The female with him, Lindsie Newman, 30, was also arrested for active felony warrants out of Carson City District Court and Parole and Probation. Once booked into jail, she was found to be in possession of prescription pills without having a prescription, according to the arrest report.
— A 34-year-old Carson City woman, Alisha Rose Moss, was arrested Thursday, 2:05 p.m. in the 1800 block of East William Street on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Bail: $3,637.
— A 31-year-old Houston, Texas woman, Karen Arlene Mones, was booked into Carson City jail was found to be in possession of methamphetamine hidden inside a container with pills, as well as having Escitalopram Oxalate and Cyclobenzaprine without a prescription. Bail: $5,000.
— A 23-year-old Carson City woman was booked and released from jail Thursday, 11:45 a.m, on a criminal contempt warrant issued Feb. 19, 2015.
— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 6:52 p.m. on misdemeanor charges of petit larceny and two failure to appear warrants for traffic violations. The man allegedly stole a Streamlight flashlight, valued at $9.99 from Sportsman’s Warehouse. Bail: $942.
— A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 4:24 p.m. on a misdemeanor charge of being an intoxicated pedestrian. The arrest report states the woman was walking with a man along Highway 50 East and yelling at him. She was observed walking north onto the highway and was nearly struck by a vehicle going eastbound. Some of the vehicles traveling eastbound honked their horns and drove around the woman as she slowly walked across Highway 50 East.
An officer met with the woman, who identified herself. She had a large glass bottle of vodka in her purse and said she had been drinking from it. She submitted to a preliminary breath test with a reading of .220. She was arrested based on careless behavior walking intoxicated through highway traffic, the arrest report states. Bail: $242.
Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
