Basketball Camp at MAC popular with Carson City youth
If the full parking lot doesn't tip you off to the popularity of the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada's sponsored basketball camp on Saturday mornings at the Carson City MAC, all one has to do is step inside to see the kids who are getting up early to take part.
The camp takes place weekly at the new Multi-Purpose Athletic Center at 1870 Russell Way in Carson City. The camp runs from 7:30am-8:30am. There are six more weeks of camp and parents are encouraged to get their children involved. The camp runs through March 26.
Drop-in clinics are open to children and teens, and participants need not be Club members.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada has been a cornerstone of the community since opening its doors in 1993. Serving some 1,800 youth, Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada provides a safe, structured and positive environment for young people after school, during holidays and summer vacation in six locations around Carson City and Douglas County.
