Rain showers, cooler temperatures expected to arrive Tuesday
When it comes to quenching our thirst for precipitation, something is better than nothing right? Well, a little something may be on the way, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
Mild afternoon temperatures will remain warm through Monday but Tuesday brings a change with a chance of light valley rain and mountain snow showers Tuesday.
Cooler temperatures will return Tuesday through the end of the next week, with a few showers again possible south of Highway 50 late in the week. For more details read the discussion here.
There's always hope that February will produce some major snow storms, and of course there's the Miracle March history in the Sierra that has saved our mountain snowpack with several feet of late winter, early spring snow. Keep on praying to your Maker, the snow gods or the universe for heavy rain and snow by the feet. Otherwise serious drought trouble is on the horizon.
