Carson City Fire Department called to fire involving RV off of Sherman Lane
UPDATE: Carson City Fire Department reports the fire was knocked down at 1:57 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded Sunday afternoon to a fire involving an RV near a mobile home off of Sherman Lane and Kit Sierra.
Multiple 911 calls came into dispatch at 1:44 p.m. regarding the fire, said to be near a mobile home. First responders on scene report an RV or a travel trailer was on fire in the 3500 block of Sherman Lane. It is unknown at this time if the fire had spread to a nearby mobile home.
Firefighters on scene are fighting the blaze, which had put up a heavy amount of smoke visible near the area.
At this time, there are no reports of injuries.
Traffic has been shut down at Sherman and Kit Sierra. We will update as more information becomes available.
