The Greatest Christmas Gift
Today we celebrate the birth of a Jewish Rabbi. We celebrate the renewal of hope that the world may one day learn from the greatest teacher that ever lived. For his billion Christian followers, as Christian/Jews, we also celebrate the birth of the Christ, the messiah, the son of God. During this celebration, the world shall receive the greatest gift.
I find that each Christmas is always the greatest in my life and greater than the sum of all those that have come before. I am filled with gratitude and thankfulness for all the blessings that I have received throughout my life. Too many to count - too many even to remember for one with less than perfect memory. Thousands of people and events in my lifetime - the many simple blessings that I recall each year at this time of wonder and joy. For all of this I am thankful. Yet I cherish the most, once again on this Christmas day, the greatest gift of all.
While most of the world passes Christmas without change, the Christian world is renewed once again with the ancient promise of perfect freedom for all mankind. A perfect freedom that will bring a perfect peace along with God's justice that would forever end the ancient tyrannies of murder and slavery throughout our troubled world.
Even as we pray for Peace on Earth and Good Will Towards Men we hope that the ancient Christian/Jewish prayer for peace shall one day be answered. For that answer is denied within the hearts of those still lost in ignorance and darkness who continue to spawn the ancient sins of hate and evil. On this day of Christmas, we renew our faith from the Prince of Peace whose teachings may yet illuminate and transform the evil heart with truth and love and where the hope for peace may one day become reality.
Sing out this Christmas and let the world hear the story once again. Receive the blessing. Keep the faith. Renew the Hope. Spread His love throughout the world as taught by a Jewish Rabbi who demonstrated in deeds to his Jewish people, along with all his future Christian followers, that God is love. This is the greatest gift that one can ever receive: the knowledge from the Rabbi Jesus, of God's love. Let each soul be illuminated with His Love and let each of us light the darkness of this world with His truth. For we are the light of the world and the worlds best, last and only hope for peace on Earth.
Each Christmas, let us spread the wisdom of the Savior for those that would learn of faith and hope and love. For there can be no greater gift than that received this Christmas day from our Creator. The sacred gifts we receive each and every Christmas are faith, hope and love. But the greatest of all of the gifts we have received this Christmas or shall ever receive, as great as that of a father for his children, is His love for all of us.
Merry Christmas - Happy Hanukkah - Happy New Year
