Capital Equity Available for New and Expanding Northern Nevada Companies

The Nevada State EB-5 Regional Center in Carson City, Nev. offers education to local businesses on acquiring foreign capital investment through an equity model opportunity. Utilizing the equity model through NVEB-5 is another option for Northern Nevada businesses exploring the EB-5 Program, and is available to existing companies looking to expand their operations or new ventures with completed business plans.
NVEB-5 is offering interested parties one-on-one information sessions specifically discussing equity positioning. The equity model is effective for smaller projects with anticipated new job creation of approximately 12 or more positions. NVEB-5 is a non-profit EB-5 Regional Center dedicated to creating local jobs and building our local economy by bringing new and expanding companies/project developers together with foreign capital investors.
The equity model of the EB-5 Program is a supplemental capital option for Northern Nevada businesses which differs from the loan model. The foreign investors receive a minor equity position in the project in exchange for direct capital investment. The equity model offers quicker access to capital compared to the traditional EB-Program models and lower fees if the business has an existing relationship with a foreign investor.
The Administrator for NVEB-5, Lynn Beteag, said, “As a non-profit EB-5 Regional Center, we are pleased to have the opportunity to offer Northern Nevada businesses the equity model for capital acquisition. The equity model is a powerful supplement to a company’s capital portfolio. It enables expanding and new companies the ability to participate in the EB-5 program and reap the many benefits such as flexible terms and quicker access to capital in exchange for a very small percentage of equity in the project.”
The benefit of the EB-5 program to the foreign investor is they may obtain legal entry through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) program.
