Cottonwood wrapping volunteer event with Carson City Parks happens Feb. 22
Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space is having a Cottonwood Wrapping volunteer event! We will be installing mesh wire around the base of Cottonwood trees to protect them from being damaged by beavers.
Come learn about Cottonwood trees, beavers, and riparian ecosystems while enjoying time by the beautiful Carson River. We will be walking about 1 mile down the newly opened Empire Ranch Trail.
Date, Time and Location: Feb. 22, 2020 starting at 10 a.m. Please park at Morgan Mill River Access off Morgan Mill Road, we will be walking 1 mile down Empire Ranch Trail.

Please bring proper clothing for the weather, water, and closed toed shoes. Minors under 18 must have a parent present. We will provide all necessary tools and gear. We ask that pets stay home. Not wheelchair accessible.
