Author, L. S. Watson, Jr. at Your Library
Carson City Library will host author L. S. Watson, Jr., Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 4 p.m., in the library’s auditorium. Watson will discuss his new book “Showdown in Six-Mile Canyon.” Copies of the book, about a Civil War veteran who settles in Virginia City in the 1880s, will be available for purchase.
L.S. Watson, Jr. was born in Iowa. He developed an interest in mine exploration while stationed in Barstow, California, in the Mojave Desert. His interest in gold and silver mining developed while searching mines in the ghost town of Calico. He and his wife, Carol, moved to Carson City in 1991. Watson continues to enjoy the adventure of discovering the dusty roads of the Wild West.
