Washoe Valley Forum hosts living history presentation 'The Reno Cure' Friday
On Friday, April 26 at 1 p.m., the Washoe Valley Forum hosts a living history presentation, “The Reno Cure.” Local authors and historians David and Gayle Woodruff assume the fictive characters of wrangler Clive, and cook/housekeeper Vivian, that worked at a Washoe Valley “divorce ranch” from the 1940s to 1960s.
They'll explore the history and importance of the divorce industry to Reno and Western Nevada during that time. The 55 minute program is free and open to everyone and presented at the Nevada Forestry Office, 885 Eastlake Blvd, Washoe City. Call David at 760 920-8061 for more information.
